To unzip maps, put them in the H4 directory in folder named "maps".

user-made campaigns usually show up in scenarios, not campaigns.

I've tryed to put it into the folder named "maps", like the other guy said, but it didn't work!

well i put it in the folder maps of heores 4 and open it as a scenario (custom). That's the only way since the campaigns option takes only to the campaigns that come with the game.

Has anybody every played the eternal love campaign that is downloadable here. I am on the scenrio that is named "eternal "love" Finally after truding through it and killing all people and taking all towns and getting the dragon's vial, what am i supposed to do.. It says i can bring atrifact or kill all enemies, I have killed all enemies but every turn tan gets a turn and where am i supposed to go with this artifact

This Wind of Thorns is awesome! First I wan cursing the makers how could they make it so difficult but I figured out and eventually I had more fun then in a long time! (And I don't know how I ended up with 70-something Dwarven Hammers in one o the maps, every enemy hero was carrying a couple of them) And it's hillarious too

@Solinimo: Glad you like it!

And the dwarven hammer thing is an unfortunate bug. It's not serious enough to justify a fix though, so I just left it at that.

Don't forget to play the righteous path as well...

usually the maps have a problem pf being strictly compatible to one Heroes verdion. So the heroes 4 standard version 3.0 actually doesn't work onmy heroes standard. What we need is to figure out some way to make the maps work on most heroes 4 versions!

Keonkong: Um...that ISN'T the way to ask for help...that was rather rude on your part. Giving members 5 minutes to see your post and then ask if no one reads them is a bit much...

But, to answer your question...you need to specify which heroes game you are talking about...

In general: There are quite a few maps here in Celestial Heaven's map database. You can download them from here. Then, you need to transfer them to your maps directory. The method depends based on which Heroes game it is, but all are similar.

Hi, everyone! Oh, I've been looking for new maps and campaigns to play for so, so long. I'm obviously not a very good looker. Not Heroes literate, I'm afraid. Superficial player. But could someone tell me how to install these campaigns? I have Mac Heroes IV so I can't do all this WoW stuff, I'm guessing. But I downloaded The Science of Darkness to try out and moved it to my 'maps' folder but it wouldn't show up anyway, scenarios or campaigns!

Could anyone help, please?

@newbie_baby: I'm afraid I haven't played Heroes IV in ages. If it's not showing up even when you move it into the map folder...it could be corrupted. Sorry I couldn't be of more help...

@len303: That's a vague question.

Well, there is a mod some of the fans have been working on called Ghost of the Past. It'll change/add many things in the H5 game..but it's not done yet...

Other people have created various other mods to improve gameplay. You should be able to find some around.

(Perhaps someone who knows could post some links to said mods?

)
