Anyone know how to force the game to keep simultaneous turns always on...
Been playing this for a bit now and at first I really liked it, made a lot of sense and really sped up the game play, especially if you have a LAN game going with 4 or 5 players, seems so silly to have 4 players always waiting to do something. The problem is that it kicks you out of simultaneous turns too quickly and for no apparent reason...
We were playing a 2 player LAN game on a huge map where me and and my buddy were on opposite sides of the map, after about 4 turns the message came up "resorting to turn based mode", we were pissed because we were not even close to each other, nor could I see any part of his territory from revealing my fog of war, and he could not see mine??
In the manual they say they boot you out of simultaneous turn cause it could cause a "game mechanics failure", but this is silly what are the odds that two players could click on a treasure at the exact same time, say within a millisecond apart, and even if they did either:
1. Give it to the guy whos turn normally starts first
2. Give the treasure to both - it's just a game who cares.
I mean who really cares, but once it switches back to turn based mode the game slows to a halt and in my opinion sucks, I don't want to play a game where I'm forced to do nothing for 30mins every turn??
I would really like to be able to keep simultaneous always on, any info on how to do this would be HUGELY appreciated...
Thanks,
Vanz

Its all about the maps you play
If you play maps which don't allow u to see opponent till almost the very end and also distant between you are always 1 day apart then simultaneous turns will be kept until the very end , My suggestion to you if that bothers you so much play only these kind of maps.
