I don't mean this to sound insulting, but have you unzipped them?

are you using the latest patch, or an earlier one?

h5m maps won't show up prior to 1.3, and I had some issues with older maps interfering with the display in HOF.

try this:

go to the single player custom map menu, and check the box that says "show multiplayer maps".

see if the maps show up then.

Try puting a copy in the data files. Sometimes that helps. If not, then I am not sure :(.

Can you see them under Multi-Player Hotseat?

I had the same problem until....

1) I patched up to 1.3 (had to do each patch seperately)
2) Ran the map editor that came with 1.3 - when you open it there will be a blank "map" for you start work on.
3)Save this as "test" or whatever name you like. When it is being saved the editor creates a "maps" folder in the main directory.
4) This is the folder to move your downloaded, unzipped .h5m maps to.
5) If you do what I originally did, created my own "maps" folder and put downloaded maps in it - nothing is recognised. It has to be the maps folder created by the map editor when you first run it. So 1.3 minimum is required.

Sorry if you have already done this, but it did seem similar to my original problem.

Otherwise - perhaps you have some mods which H5 doesn't like?

Hope this helps.
