I just discovered WoG 3 days ago and it's a really fun mod. The best addition in my opinion is the addition of commanders. So what's everyone's favorite commander, and for what reasons?
My personal favorite is the soul eater even though it doesn't get any special bonuses aside from being undead. It has the most powerful spell in my opinion, animate dead, and with high spell power it can be a real tide turner.
Favorite/Best WoG Commander?

I haven't tried the Enhanced Commanders script yet. In fact I didn't even know that there are WoG options that you can turn on. I guess I will try it. All I have to do is go into WoG option and check the box to activate it on all single scenario maps right? Or do I have to WoGify the map to get it to work?
Personally, I find the Enhanced Commanders option can be a bit confusing but some people quite enjoy it.Athos wrote:I haven't tried the Enhanced Commanders script yet. To use the WoG options, you do need to wogify the map (in most cases, anyway), but that's easy enough. Just choose one of the options for wogification on the first page that applies to the type of map you wish to play.
If you want to read about the various script options, you can find them in the WoG Features HTML document (or whatever it's named) along with all the hard-coded features as well.
To get more detailed information on any WoG option, simply right-click on it in the WoG Options screen.

My favorite is the succubus because it's the most unique creature that WoG adds to the game. I wish there were more unique creatures like this instead of the same skin, different color that most "new" creatures use.
I actually think that the succubus would be a fine creature to replace one of the existing inferno troops. Adding the nightmare would also be nice, although, it would look a little too much like H5 then.
Just out of curiosity, what skills do you guys usually choose when leveling up your commander? I usually find myself picking the same skill set over and over because of the necessity of health and defense to keep your commander alive. From there, with a few exceptions, it's usually damage and attack to make him useful in combat. I know that some combinations open up better abilities, but regardless, I still usually end up building up my commander the same way every time.

If I use the enhanced Commanders option in the WoG Options menu, I and I'm not using the Temple Guardian, I start off by choosing the 2 skills that will eventually allow my Commander to start shooting. I think they are the Magic and Offense skills I believe. Then, I go from there....mr.hackcrag wrote: Just out of curiosity, what skills do you guys usually choose when leveling up your commander?
