So ... stuff like questioning mods/admins (in pm's) decisions, getting into arguments with JJ (and dl, and um well you get the picture). Posting weird babbling posts, making no sense (mostly) and failed attempts at humor is not a good thing I guess? () Well that takes me out of the running then . Good luck Stefen . At least the Random Thoughts thread has gotten some attention lately. Thought for awhile there it was going dead .

Indeed .
I hate to admit this...but I'm actually starting to miss DaemianLucifer's antics and irreverent spamming. Hope he doesn't read this though

Yes DL does keep the forums lively at least . Anyhow I promised I would explain something in the christmas forum so here it is. A lot of people (some even older then me) tend to call me Mama because they say I mother people. They mean this in a good way; however, so the name sort of stuck. My mom is called Ma, my dad is Pa, so I guess it runs in the family (having neighborhood kids calling your mother and father Ma and Pa can be disturbing tho ). Yes the people that call me Mama call them Ma and Pa. Basically I am the one they come to when they need a shoulder, a good swift kick to get their heads straight, or advice. So that's the long and short of it.

Mystical, I have the same 'problem'. Most of the time, I really don't mind having a wet shoulder... but sometimes, like this passed fall, when I'm obviously have a lot of my own problems, I get REALY Sick and Tired of friends who continuousely whine about the same problems.

See, the problem with being the "Mom" - is the fact that many of your friends start to treat you like you ARE their mother and are responcible to make sure they are fed, entertained and transported. *sigh*

I sympathise with you, and don't hesitate to vent to me if you need . A few of the people I mothered over the years have tried to do the same, I've had to kick a few in the rear to set them straight . It does get weary sometimes, so I am glad I have somebody who's shoulder I can put my head on and cry some. Us mother types have to stick together and support each other.

Mystical - I'll be happy as long as the RT Boys don't start calling me "Mama Letty".
I'm cleaning the kitchen while hubby does the livingroom & computer room. Son is SUPPOSED to be doing the bathroom. I'll be lucky if he sprays some 'scrubbing bubbles' around and then remembers to rinse them off before it drys.
Our New Year's Eve Party is our Annual Excuse to do a better job at house cleaning. All through Halloween, we're very bad about just 'piling stuff over there' and making paths as clutter takes over. Then, Christmas, I only clean off the kitchen counters and make cookies, Cookies, COOKIES!! So there are partiall full containers of flour, sugar, spices and shortening every where, plus all those big bowls and pans that have to be properly cleaned and put back on high shelves.
Then, I get to clean out all my cabnets! JOY! We have a dreadful MOTH problem here. Any packs of pancake flour, boxes of crackers, cereal or maccaroni or *GAG* Cornmeal that get pushed to the back of the shelves are likely to be full of bug nasty. *BLECK* The little nasties will bore holes in the paper boxes or bags and lay eggs in the stuff. Then the flour leaks out on the shelf and is full of icky bug casings and whatever. *shiver* Some of the shelves even get spiders that come to eat the moth larvea. Needless to say, all our 'fresh' food tends to stay on the counter, NOT on the shelves. But every New Years - I clean out the cabnets and put the stuff away to clear the counters, then it all gets forgotten in there (out of sight, out of mind) as all the fresh food gets left on the counter where it's 'Safe' by habit. One year, I even tried to seal up a bag of flour in a Christmas tin to keep the bugs out. Then, naturally I forgot about it until I opened the old tin to see what was inside. It was SO GROSS I put the lid back on and put it all in the OUTSIDE trash bin.
However! I did finally figure out that putting all my left over sugar and flour in heavy ZipLock Freezer bags keeps it all perfectly clean and safe from the bugs. I told my family not to think I'm crazy if all the food gets sealed up in baggies this year.
See? Even an old dog like me can learn a new trick once in a while. And MAYBE if I stop feeding those nasty moths such yummy things as bags of flour and cornmeal - or once we found an old box of dog biscuts that looked absolutly HONEY COMBED - maybe they will GO AWAY!

Nope! I'm a total slob. Hubby was playing "Elf" at Christmas and delivering all my cookies and cakes. I called one friend to say "He's on his way!" and the friend went "Oh! I'll start the manic cleanup!" I just laughed, "You've been to my house un-announced." He replied, "oh yeah. Never mind."
Oh well. Most of the year we keep it to what we call "Tollerable Grunge Level". That means the clothes and the dishes are always washed - just not put away. There is no dog poo or rotting food laying about and the trash gets taken to the street every week on pick up day. The bathroom gets a going over before it starts looking like you might 'catch' something in there. Our problem is just the CLUTTER! We always seem to have so many 'projects' going on at one time, that all the 'stuff' just accumulates - everywhere.
For Example - THIS is a pic I took of my hubby's "Display" room. Everyone else just calls it the "Toy Room". While everything is SUPPOSED to be on the shelves, you can see piles of STUFF in the floor that just hasn't found a 'happy home' yet.

Where's stefan.urlus?
Haven't seen him in a while (maybe his wife gave birth? A new addition to the Urlus clan ...or perhaps DL kidnapped him ).
