I wonder what kind of protective girdle you'd need for a chainsaw. Maybe ask Bruce Campbell.

Bruce Campbell for world minister :D

Actually there are chainsaw-proof clothing, my grandfater got some for his birthday a few years ago. It's padded with lots of strong fibers that chokes the chain before it can cut through.

You mean like cotton and wool and stuff, like they wore underneath the chainmail in the middle ages?

Yeah, sounds like some heavy stuff. Like the thing you use to polish cars, only even stronger.

That'd be a good exp weapon for BG; dual wield chainsaw B-)

It wasn't particulairly heavy, not much more than what you'd wear to keep warm in the winter.

Yes, I meant the fibres themselves. That stuff you use to polish our car looks pretty flimsy and I'm not sure it would stop a chain. Still...

Thanks :) Could barely remember what I had posted due to all these threats ;)

The landlord is paying for it and the previous tenant as well as he didn't take good care of the place. He had his foot amputated - only reason he moved out. But they're making his family pay for some of the damage done to the place cause he didn't follow the guidelines of proper maintenance ;)

I am terrible at getting my rooms cleaned so I hope I'll get it done when I move out of home. Vacuum cleaners are expensive here and I have many other things to buy :(

@Metathron: Thank you, Master :D

What? Vacuum cleaners are expensive down there? Sure, you can get the Rolls Royce model with platinum inlays, but I bought mine for just a few hundred. It's got a HEPA filter 'n everything. Tell you what, start out like I did, buy a mop. Then if we can find some internet shop I can buy you a vacuum cleaner as a house warming present.

Hey, it's not her... There's this flat that becomes vacant in a while, after the owners have refurbished it; not her fault the previous owner didn't maintain the place. Oh, and just because you are minus one foot that doesn't make you unable to cope in modern day society. This statement is from the handicapped themselves. :devious:

Good idea. All such things should be specified in the contract. You know, that the place is "to be kept in reasonable order" and to be left "in the same state" it was when you moved in, when you leave. Laws specify that sort of thing, and even make exceptions for "normal wear and tare". Meaning that if you stay there for three years and the carpets happen to be slightly worn, that's fine; whereas if you've destroyed a wall, that's not what might me considered "normal". :)
