Speaking of fried stuff, have you ever had deep-fried turkey? I usually make it for Thanksgiving. It's surprisingly juicy and not greasy (if you cook it properly). It takes about 3.5 minutes per pound. The only key is to fully defrost the turkey first. Otherwise it'll explode and probably set fire to your house.

I brought with me 6 different types of danish home from work... and since my regulator is still at the shop, there'll be no diving tomorrow... and that means I'll have to eat the lot myself. :yummy:

Yes, we fry anything. I've even heard of deep-fried Twinkies and deep-fried Snickers bars. We also fry cook your danish's first cousin, the infamous jelly doughnut.

When done properly, deep-frying is a very efficient and reasonably healthy cooking method. But if you do it wrong (i.e., you don't get the temperature right), you end up with an oil-soaked mess.

Taters are actually better fried in an oven than deep-fried...

As long as you don't cook it past medium-rare, sounds good to me.

I like it medium. Not bloody, but pinkish on the inside. :)

Check this out...

Lean pork sirloin, with sweet & sour sauce, and loads of fresh vege. All poured on a bed of rice. That's how you make Chinese food from scratch. :yummy:
