Well you kind of have biological (life) sciences at one end of the spectrum and physics at the other, with chemistry occupying the area in between (which doesn't always work, either, because you also have biophysics which doesn't have a lot of chemistry involved, so it's more like a triangle). But typically chemistry and physics are considered the physical sciences in college curricula and biology (and biological sciences) is given its own category, although there is a gray area which includes biochemistry. Physical sciences I guess could be defined as those sciences which are based on physical laws of nonliving systems - and physics and chemistry fit that definition.
For a more rigorous definition:

Deamian: Yes, that was what I was asking
And whether Math's is a natural science is something that certainly can be debated...
Corribus: Thanks for filling that hole in my knowledge.

I wouldn't say it's a true science because it's not really rooted in experimentation. It's more of a category unto itself with as much relationship to science as it is to philosophy.

Yup. Still, considering the history concerning physics and maths, it's not difficult to see why someone would bundle them together.

Whether it is a natural science or not is not important, but it is the world wide excepted cathegorization.

Yes, it usually is excepted from that cathegory

I know that. You're still wrong, though. Excerpt from
wikipedia: .
Mathematics is not itself a natural science, but provides many tools and frameworks used within the natural sciences.

Mathematics is to science as grammar and vocabulary is to literature.

You don't find clowns scary anymore? The only thing scarier then a clown is a mine. And rabid poodles.

As an undergrad, I was a double major in math and english. Out of 40,000 students at UT there was only one other, Gunnar Hansen aka Leatherface from Chainsaw Massacre.

Meh, it's all the same. Biology is really just Chemistry. Chemistry is really Physics. Physics is really Math. And Math is really hard.
