I dont know if I should laugh or cry. Not only are some names wacky but the colors as well sespecially for the dragons. Emerald dragon is still there but with a gold dragon name. and black is just dark grey/green, even the deep dragon is blacker

I mean what is the problem with making the Black Dragon totally black?
And why the heck have they turned back with gold dragon? Emerald was great but seems that the creative genies at Nival have finally lost it .
Minotaur society is clan-based, leaders of their clans call themselves kings (Lame excuse for calling them kings, why not chieftain or leader?). They are tattooed and have deadly double-bladed axes which they use with great skill dealing two heavy blows in sequence.

Deep Dragon? Huh well wth arent shadow dragon good enough?

But there are som positive things changed as for the Hydra - Chaos Hydra, sounds familiar?

Matron and Matriarch sounds cool though

Sylvan Some skills and spells mention Rampart, ohoh

Green- Gold dragon only with emerald color

Unicorn is golden (by legends they are born gold) check, good
but WAR UNICORN???? what was wrong with Silver Unicorn which by legends is the right name?


Wood Elf- Grand Elf I would prefer Hunter- Master Hunter though both name sets are great.

Treant -Treant Guarding is perfect I have a nasty feeling that they will change Treant to Dendroid, focusing more on help from H3 names than using their own creative insights at Nival.

Bone dragon- Shadow Dragon, heh well I think this was actually a good change. Or it would been two spectre named units in NP.
Mane (the mane of a horse? lol)- Ghost good enoug, good enough

Walking Dead - Zombie. Yes its great but yet again they focus more on names from H3. Actually this is just as great as Zombie-Plague zombie, seriously the worst zombies are a plague arent they?

Inferno

Demon-Horned Demon?? Arent they both horned, its too obvious. Fiery Demon would be better than horned demon.

Succubus- Infernal Succubus AH! Great name change, makes sense!

Nightmare- Frightful Nightmare. Hmm its good enough I suppose but the last names were just as great.

Pit Fiend- Balor Ah another great name change I was afraid it would be Balrog but hey I better keep shut about that


Academy

Giant- Titan. Sigh more H3 names, it never ends ey? Colossus was much better, save the name Giant for a barbarian aligned humanoid!


Rakshasa-Rakshasa Rukh Well its good enough but what does Rukh mean?

Iron-Steel golem keep those names, dont.....change...no!

Haha I was right those gargoyles was able to fly not some useless juke boxes waiting for cash Well they arent the best 2nd lvl units though, even with fly ability

Peasant-Militiman hmm makes sense, accepted.

Squire- Swordsman Knight would be trash cans on horses so this is a good change

Priest-Cleric, well I would prefer Monk-Cleric but this is a good change too.

Conclusion

Alot of wacky hick-ups when it comes to color changes and names. Returning to H3 names is not a good thing, when I saw the name "Emerald Dragon" for the first time I though :"Oh yes, something new!" But no they had to change it back to gold Emerald is a ver nice name.
There are some good name changes too creds for that but mostly there are some silly changes coming back. Make the black dragon blacker, and give the upg unicorn the name "Silver Unicorn" etc *sigh* Still theres some time befor realease, i really hope the names and colors get a last chance too change to the acceptable!

Shadow Witch sounded much better than Matron! And Matron is too ... well simple. They should Try Shadow Matron or something. Especialy now when the Shadow Dragon isn't part of the Dungeon anymore.

And Witch doesn't really fit the ex-Fury. They could just use Fury - Blood Fury!

Oh, and we need new sugestions for a name for the unupgraded Blackie. Deep Dragon just doesn't sound right to me.

the wood elves -> grand elves are badly depicted. they look more like a druid or a shaman, they wear so much animal fur on them. ANTLERS for archers? I don't think so.

Why did they change Ghosts to Manes? I bet most people don't even know how to pronounce the word (/manayz/), and that it doesn't have a singular form "Mane". Also, Manes means the deified souls of dead ancestors, and those foul Necropolis creatures are anything but deified.
