1) They worked their butts off, leaving no room for the opponents, 2) Brazil were expecting a walk in the park.
Blatter is now once again opening for discussion on goal-line technology, something I have been wanting since Mendes "scored" against United, years ago. It's the microchip or the goal line ref, I think, and they really do need to scrap the idea of having the system work for anything other than the goal line.

Brazilian team always (always, always, always, always) have problems with a very blocked defense. If North Korea started playing advancing to attack, it would happen something like happened with Portugal. However, being the first match and Kaka playing nothing, also helped for that poor play.Shyranis wrote:How did the North Korean defense do so well against Brazil?
Oh, yes, Dutch next. Will it be like 1994 and 1998?

Brazil (tcha-tcha-tcha), Brazil (clap-clap-clap)!! *rolling around holding own paw-feet with paw-hands*
And here's something for today:

They say C. Ronaldo is going to take Spain down. I really don't expect much from Portugal's attack, but their defense. Let's see what happens. Whatever happens (don't you let go of my hand), Spain will surely come across Brazil. Yes, I think we'll beat Dutch.![tongue ](/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
For darknessfood information, Brazil beat Dutch in 94 and 98. Wheee!

That one was fine. Hot guy Slaying the Beast is good by me. As long as he's not dressed like a pastel unicorn or doing naughty things with the bull, I'm down with it.
But seriously, what's the current status on the games? Where does everyone stand? Anyone else still have a home country represented?

Without the Dutch, New York probably wouldn't be the economic powerhouse it is today.
That being said I'll cheer for really every team (those that made it this far earned it) but if the Dutch play the Japanese again I'll have to cheer for Japan (for personal reasons).

Pity that Japan lost.
But that's a sight: so many South American teams made it through the finals. So odd that the matches are only on Friday! I was getting used to watch them everyday...![hoo :hoo:](/forums/images/smilies/hoo.gif)
