Managed to do something today that I did not think was possible. I started a map with Academy and went 5 levels without seeing a single spell skill. So I closed the map to main menu, tried a different map, another 5 skills, not a single spell skill. At this time I was wondering if maybe it was a bug, so I went out and started yet another map. 5 levels no spell skills. How is that even possible? This means no destruction, summons, enlightenment (grouping this with spell skills in this instance), light, dark, or sorcery skills....for a Wizard hero?! I was playing with Jhora (or however her name is spelled), and while the 'perks' were offered for her skills all I was being offered was Attack, defense, logistics, Leadership, luck or even war machines!! This has to be the biggest string of bad luck in the history of the game.

It was most likely Nival.
Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.

Im soon finished with the first HoF campaign on normal. Gah the 4th scenario gave me a headache, thought I had to collect all the dwarven artifacts, forgot to collect the helmet (thanks stupid one way portal!). But then when I finally started anew (thanks the cinematic save) and entered the prison I found out that I also had to give away my greaves which I exchanged for some info earlier 8| I almost gave up, for even with my strong army how could I survive loads of fire drakes standing in my way? I gave it a shot............and won, no worries anymore there :D

So now Im gonna start with the last sceny and see if I can avoid the famous close to castle cinematic bug :devious:

And the number of registered users here at CH is a palindrome (a number that reads the same way if you reverse it) at 9779.

So close to 10,000 users :D. Wonder when CH will reach it...

Police Squad! was a television comedy series first broadcast in 1982. It was a spoof of police dramas, packed with visual gags and non sequiturs.

It was created by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker, who had previously worked together on The Kentucky Fried Movie and Airplane! Despite critical acclaim, the show was cancelled by ABC after just six episodes. According to the producers' commentary on the DVD release of the first Naked Gun movie, ABC executives thought it required too much attention from the viewer.

I just love television.... god forbid something on it would require actual thinking on the audience's part.

Maybe we should have a greeting thread and greet the new members when they sign-up? ;)

BTW, we're at 9800 users....(hey! At this rate, we might reach 10,000 before January 1...it's a long shout, but who knows?).

Well we won the Ashes .... yay!

and not a bad idea, but it normally takes quite a while before new members make their way to the campfire .... not in all cases, but in most ....

Got HoF today. I must say the RMG ticks me off. I generated a map, and lo and behold, the RMG decides to block in green (thus, i couldn't win...or perhaps it's a new defensive strategy for 1.4/2.0? :devious:).

Dwarves are kinda weak during the early game (in terms of attack), but their runic magic is so cool! :)

I'll probably start the campaigns tomorrow...

Orthodox people using Gregorian calender celebrate it on their 25th Dec, which is not the 25th by Julius calendar.

In Sweden (and I think Norway and Denmark as well?) the main celebration is on christmas eve (the 24:th). That's when Santa comes in person to hand out the gifts to those who've been nice (those who haven't doesn't get anything).
