Ok... here's a problem for you. I've got a new recipe that calls for an 8 oz bar of chocolate to be melted. I bought a 3.5 lb bag of chips. Now, I don't know how much of the chips to use to make 8 oz.
By volume, 8 oz of liquid = one cup - but that's not going to work.
3.5 lbs by weight = 56 oz.
When I measured the bag of chips, it was roughly 10 cups full. Therefore, one cup = 5.6 oz.
How many cups, or what fraction thereof, is 8 oz?

Her 3.5 lbs chocolate chips will make seven 8 oz. melted chocolates but the thing that confuses me is when she weighs the bag of chips it totaled 10 cups. If she had done that by just filling up the cup with chips then that's it. Solid chocolates will make more cups than liquid chocolates.
That's just my thought I could be wrong.

My best buddy has a kitchen scale. I'll go over to his house, weigh out 8 oz of stinking chips and then pour them into a glass measuring cup so I can see! I'm not good at doing 7 equal parts.
I could just multiply the recipe by 7 and use the whole bag... but this calls for 1/4 cup of heavy cream per recipe. That would be 7/4's or 1 3/4 cups. Hell! That might just be the way to go!

I don't know the brutality of moths but I doubt it can match the terror of the pickles! Just see how scared this girl is!
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.
