That's why I joined a GYM! I finally figured out that I wasn't getting any younger. Nasty things start happening to the body when you start putting on some years and don't do anything about it. Complications associated with obesity and lack of bone density were near the top of my "Biggest Fear" list. While the afternoons at a gym are pretty much a 'meat market'... the mornings are fun. There are less people and those who are there are the ones who are very serious about it. Many, like myself, are 40ish year old Baby Boomers who feel the need to pay the piper. Several are retired folk who just want to stay active and healthy.

I see... Then I should really consider playing badminton. The problem is time. Isn't it better if you do an exercise everyday? And it is worst if you skip a day or two?

The people that were in here the other day rambling like crazy ;)

@Ceres: You don't have to exercise every day of the week. Then it becomes a chore. You should do it a couple of times a week whenever you like. Besides, starting out too intensely can be really bad for you ;) :)

Ah, reminds me of how I nearly vomit in the park when I suddenly jog for 15 minutes straight. Another thing about exercise is don't push yourself. I used to do that a lot - when I got a little dizzy, I still run, run till I fell down :S

Although you should do some stretching, at everyday morning. To sustains a 'cat' flexible nature.

PS Good yawning also counts. ;)

Ooops... sorry guys! I thought Ethric and Pol are 20 or lower. Well, I just feel old, it's just me. Don't mind!

For the exercise tips, thank you. Now I've got an idea. Maybe I could play during Saturdays, Sundays and/or Friday nights. And about stretching, do you have any tips on how to do it? I have no idea.

I currently don't have one. Just to make sure that every part of your body is correctly setup and feels good. So called setting-up exercise but it may not looks like that. The only important thing is mission accomplished.

Stretching is simple. Have someone strap you on a rack and crank the handle. That should do it.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

:D

stretching is easy, start with the legs and then work up to other parts, check the net for sample stretching exercises - it is good stuff

as for exercise, any is better than none, and believe me, you will start to feel better for it

no, made redundant, it's a little different, but means you're out of a job regardless
