If you are having an "invalid data to decompress" or somesuch, you need to download and install a NEW version of Adobe Acrobat Reader from www.adobe.com. I had Acrobat 4.0 and 5.0 and had the same problem, now I have version 7.smth and it opens just fine (if a bit slow).

It works for me. You might be behind a firewall that blocks FTP connections (that happened to me at work before).
