I was referring to the wizard faction.

You could be correct, as it was never completed it could have been almost anything.

I think he meant that rajas were the cat version of nagas. ;)

Then the Marzhin quote is misleading. ;)

Marzhin's quote is general, and says that although something isn't here now, that doesn't mean they won't be here in expansions or later games.

If we do see a wizard type unit, or faction, I would love to see the mage in the unit with the same number of spells as the hero and more spell points to be able to use them; and no actually attack, besides that.

That might be too much... and impossible to balance (i'd be like you have an extra hero), 5-6 spells sound more manageable while still being very useful. And if he has no attack he should regen mana per turn...

Or revitalize H4 system of multiple heroes in the army.

Yeah, while it was fun i don't see how anyone will ever balance them in relations to unlimited creature stacking, especially without making it feel cheap like immortality potions did...

Now being able to dmg the hero so he'd be stunned for a round or two... now that could work.

Thats an interesting idea. Should the hero be attackable or just under special conditions?

Well you can stun him/her without attacking him/her... but it would require testing either way to see what works best...

I think that, if he/she can be attacked, they should be attackable.

I think what he was asking is if they could be attacked just like a normal creature or would it require some extra conditions, like let's say the hero having attacked someone in the last turn...

I was once thinking about such a system where if a hero used a spell he could only be attacked with another spell, and if he used a melee attack he could be attacked in melee, same for ranged etc. But that would require most creatures to have spells themselves or something...

I still think a might hero should be able to select one stack each turn and boost whatever action that group takes. For instance: a might hero decides to aid a crossbowmen stack: they shoot, they do more damage; they defend, they take less damage; they move, they move farther (with higher initiative is difficult as you'd need to know that they were going to move before you make the action with the stack) they wait: they gain an initiative boost or a slight defence boost.

But back to the wizards: they should keep the cats. The nagas wll probably feature elsewhere.

Well imo they could separate might heroes into dmg dealers and tactical heroes... like magic heroes usually get separated by magic school...
