M&M riddle game

Well, since no one has posted a riddle in ages (had to fetch this from page 2 of the campfire, actually

)...i'll try my hand at it:

I'm not very good at this, but here goes:

Surrounded by green am I, I frolick.
The unwary ignore me, and lose their pick.
The wise meet me, and gain much.
Do you understand me babble and such?

It's from Heroes 3. If no one can figure it out in 24 hours, then I will post a hint.

Good luck to all (and sorry, my rhyming skills aren't up to snuff

).
Hope it isn't too hard.
