@stefan: I don't feel the same way about you.
Of course, I've got a few thousand posts on my belt as well.

In fact I happen to remember during the one word christmas story you and I had the same post count. 3000+ more post in 7 months.winterfate wrote:

@stefan Be careful you'll be the third to 10,000 and forum tradition is you start over once you get there.

I don't really know, why are post counts visible, and awarded with special titles anyway. This internal hierarchy based on activity is the major reason for the most of spamming.
Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.
I agree that it can be a spamming reason, but at the same time it's fairly well contained on these boards (and the mods are pretty quick to jump on stuff - especially outside of the campfire), and I think that the special ranks add a little something
I happen to like post counts .... it doesn't really mean a great deal, but I like it

Human madness is the howl of a child with a shattered heart.
All positive and negative titles should be awarded by the mods AND the community, not depending on the post count at all. Like the RT Knight.

I guess that's one idea, but including the community could be a dangerous thing, personality clashes and the like, and I guess that could include mods as well (we are all human .... except Vlad anyway )
at the moment RTK is probably the most sought after title, due to it's main requirement being a significant contribution to the community over a period of time (not really linked to post count at all) and it being bestowed by the mods themselves .... RTH is nice, but it doesn't mean much other than that you've been around a while, or that you like to post a lot

So how come you're the "Devil", Vel? This is actually the first time I ever noticed that. Must have been awarded right after a Mod couldn't make it to the end of one of your maps.Veldrynus wrote:All positive and negative titles should be awarded by the mods AND the community, not depending on the post count at all. It's because of the post count. Soon I will turn into a Titan, then Archangel.ScarlettP wrote:So how come you're the "Devil", Vel? This is actually the first time I ever noticed that. These ranks here the RT are a bit stupid.
