My computer also wants me to get the updates. Sadly, this is a bootleg copy of Windows... so I have no desire to connect up and let Mircosoft know about it.

No, it was in an effort to drink something non-alcoholic before going to bed as I'd alreayd had my fair share of alcohol :) Went to bed between one and two, woke up at nine wanting a suicide-pill. Took some anti-feeling dreadful pills instead and slept till noon. Long gone are the days of youth when one didn't get hung over :ill:

Tonight's the annual Christmas party at work; that is, we'll be partying at one of the local hotels, along with employees from the other chain stores. A couple hundred of us, I guess. I'm just hoping we'll be served something decent to drink, otherwise it might be a bit of a dry evening...

You don't sound hopeful. Why are you expecting poor selection? Prior experience?

Sucks to grow up, doesn't it?

Drink water. Dehydration causes a lot of the hang over symptoms.

Yes. Bad wine of the cheapest selection.

I can tell you exactly why, but I'm guessing physiology isn't that interesting... ;)

Well, I was right. Bad wine. No, no, wait... terrible wine. I wasn't the only one to think so either. So, the choice was easy. I stayed sober and drove myself home instead of standing in line for an hour, waiting for a taxi. Now it's time for some quality drink. :)

I've been a 'Heinny' girl for decades. Many of my friends are Guinness devotees. I'll 'lower' my standards for when they are the ones buying... or if it's St. Patrick's day.
