For some odd reason, Kerrigan just reminds me of a biological SHODAN.

As to what the announcement is, maybe it's Blizzard announcing they've finally finished Starcraft: Ghost.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Now hat would be cruel... but i'm left to wonder how teh fans will react to that. I'm guessing "Forge town+++", maybe even trying to make good on the threat (they are announcing it in Korea after all).

Ghost was canceled. (also it wasnt developed directly by Blizzard).
And as for Blizzard itself, from what I heard they already canceled Starcraft2 once, as well as Diablo3 and about 2-3 other projects (well-known Warcraft Adventures one of them). Maybe even more, who knows.

This company values its reputation and can afford canceling projects just because they are not "top-level".

yeah, but sometimes a cancellation isn't really a cancellation :)

I recall the address staying starcraft2.com even if the same countdown img was on it. It only went to the main site if you clicked, not directly.

So, do the Protoss look pseudo-egyptian or what?

does anyone else find those background planet images on screenshots annoying? i hope they can be turned off to just black. and protoss zealot 3dmodels ponytail is funny. aside from that, it seems cool.

yes. well, their Nexus always looked like those mesopotamian things... but it would be kinda hard to make them look pseudo-mesopotamian (imagine protoss with those freaky beards... ugh...). so im happy with that.

StarCraft 2....! StarCraft was the first game I played on my first computer and the one which has lasted the longest.

StarCraft 2!!! Announcement of the decade!!! C&C 3, SupCom, throw yourself in the wall! Universe at War, Dawn of War 2 <-- StarCraft 2 will make those games fade away!

Gameplay video is up tomorow....wonder how much traffic that site is generating...:D
