I said "adding", that is, making the game different in a positive way. The game would be different with variable field sizes, but I can't see anything positive about it under the current system, but a lot of extra work needed for balancing etc.Kilop wrote:Are you kidding, half the game is duels...without it really adding anything to the game
And what problems would it make if that didn t change anything ??
You ve just contradict yourself ... in the same sentence !!!!
The H4 battlefield would suffer from the exact same problems as the H5 one when allowing different sizes. You'd have to increase the effective size by several orders of magnitude and basically turn it to something AoW/Total Wat-esqua to be able to change the size without shifting balance around too much, and then the shifting would be pretty pointless anyway.DaemianLucifer wrote:Want details?Imagine HIV BF in full 3D,and with a bit nerfed casters, and there you have it.

You know, my actual preference is a biger BF, with more tiles.Gaidal Cain wrote: The H4 battlefield would suffer from the exact same problems as the H5 one when allowing different sizes.
Your argument is still the same: "I don't think they can do it".
And if they don't change the balance it could change the strategies involved. Not in H5, that boat has sailed, but it's an interesting ideea. Each race could have different strategies depending on the BF size (which could be limited at 2 or 3 sizes to cut down on the balancing).
