Yeah but for magic to be useful you need to be able to regenerate mana - especially since the structure that restores your mana went from once / turn to once / week.

I'm a hypocrite because I suggested that all life is sacred and should not be wasted without good reason.
As necropolis, storm arrows with a blood Ana is simply fantastic (+45%), and sometimes quadruples the damage dealt by the spearmen on its first turn (depending on the ratio between might/magic defense of the defender), and regularly triples it.
With Ludmilla, storm arrow gets even better because I can usually one-shot an enemy stack with it, then cleave kicks in so that I can ravage a second stack on one turn. Plus, it boosts the archery 2 skill.
Note that after using storm arrows, the damage shown isn't the real damage, the extra wind damage isn't computed until you attack. I guess it's a bug?
