Eh... your hero starts with basic items already on... and you can just replace them with better ones.

What exactly can't you equip?! As i recall there are 2 very small place above the paper doll where you can put orbs and other stuff.

How are the bugs btw, still game crippling?

Problem solved. It turned out that there are artifact classes for different heroes. The campaign you start with a hero called Lambert and you play with him through the scenarios (I am on the fourth so far), so you can equip an artifact that says "Used to Warrior/Scout/Mage". So, Lambert is class Warrior, but can only equip class "Lambert". It is written with such tiny words you must stick your nose into the monitor (as everything in the menu). Annoying as hell...

As for bugs, the game is doing fine, but if you escape from a battle (meaning hit the load button because of something), when you load, the next battle after the load your mages won't be able to do damage... at all! Some of the damage you inflict and the damage the enemy units inflict to you is not being accumulated as well, if you don't have mage your priest won't be able to heal... So far I can tell this much, plus in two hours or so playing the game crashes and throws me out, which can be related to my computer, but still... it happens when I do few loads in a row or so.

It is indeed playable, though. The translation on the other hand... oh man... and I totally HATE the graphics - EVERYTHING is GREY and looks the same from "far away". I miss the D2 colourite, why did these Russians had to kill it, along with the atmosphere?

In fact it received significantly warmer reviews from press although havent tried myself.
Also should note that day after they released undead expansion .dat was fired or something like that. Not 100% sure of developer/publisher status atm, but they seemed confidant in releasing dwarf expansion after all.

I guess in order to play this game again I'll be waiting for a patch. Couldn't finish the Legions quest because... it stuck. I guess it is bad scripting. The game could be fun, even though it makes the HV AI looks like some sort of genius when compared, there is some nice stuff, but this STILL TOTALLY UNFINISHED PRODUCT... I am sorry, my Russian friends, but you'll have to fix it. It is out for almost year now, get a grip!

I just saw the game on Amazon.com for $19.99!?
But 1 review said the game will not even install, due to an error on the DVD.

Anyway, any idea how I can change some images in the game (Disciples II Rise of the Elves), like the artifact images or so? There are some that I find REALLY ridiculous.

Disciples 3: Ressurection is already out. It seems better then Renaissance but still far away from Disciples II.
And if I understand correctry some info from Russian forums, we can except another expansion, maybe even with Merfolks. Maybe.
