They're part of it...
I mean really, would it still be as fun if it looked like this ('from 98 also, and not even a bad looking one either):
And those races weren't always perfectly balanced (man, wasn't it so annoying having to get used to a more expensive Spawning Pool?), and it wasn't all Blizz that made the races balanced, i recall a time when the Terrans where considered weak.
SC wasn't made great by any one thing, but by all those things coming together. Here' this is an article from when the game came out: http://www.elecplay.com/reviews_article.php?article=463 I find myself in agreement with it completely.

So you where Artanis in the original Protoss campaign... i wonder if the Magistrate from the original Terran missions is in Jimmy's crew...

I thought Artanis was the Protoss who fought alongside Zeratul near the end of Brood War (I vaguely remember the mission was something to do with protecting some tower).
What was the name of the one who represented the Conclave in the SC Protoss missions (he'd appear in the little video screen if you selected a building, and his eyes changed colour). I thought that Artanis could've been him as well.

Artanis is the guy that just got a promotion at the start of BW and that is shown in the campaign selection screen alongside Stukov and Kerrigan. It actually makes a lot of sense that the Executor directing the forces that destroyed the Overmind would get a promotion.

His nerve cords are cut off; a clear sign that he is indeed one of the fallen ones.Metathron wrote:He's a dark templar? It has been my impression that he was of the light variety, but it's been quite some time since I played the game.

Except that he pilots a High Templar craft, has no invisibility and Aldaris isn't foaming at the mouth that he's been made Praetor, which is a High Templar title.
Also, this is actually older news apparently:
Also, this is actually older news apparently:
the novel came out last year.In the novel Queen of Blades it is revealed that the executor the player takes the role of in StarCraft's Episode III is actually Artanis prior to being made praetor in Brood War.[10] This was later confirmed in an article released by Blizzard summarising the events of StarCraft.

Finally put a new unit up: the Terran Nomad. Still no Zerg, despite being in both the Terran and the Protoss videos...
