Europe?
Where in Europe? France, Great Britain (10:1 one of those)
I used to travel a lot, so I might've been at the place you wish to visit.

I think you are stereotyping now. Suppose I had put up pictures from my previous trip to Washington D.C., is that also a popular American tourist location?
My friend has already been to those places you mention. Myself being an opera lover would like to go to Italy, but she spoke of the poorness of the dollar in comparison to the Euro and suggested we go a little further East...we haven't really made a definite decision yet.
No hard feelings LL, tell us about the places you've visited. What was your favorite country, city, town, moment?

Well, I personally like London. Somehow, that city makes me feel at home. It's a really cosmopolitan, yet culturised city with much to see and learn. (and it's not far from where I live, Antwerp). Paris is nice to see as well, but of course, English isn't as common as in London (:P) (Covent Garden is there as well, and is, as you undoubtably know, a famous Opera House)
So if you like Culture you should got for either London, Paris or Barcelona.
I've been in Barcelona once, but I was five and I don't remember too much. However, the city is a good mix of culture and sun vacations.
The whole of Spain, especially the Costa Brava and Costa Del Sol, are idea if you like to have a Sun holyday. All inclusive hotels, The beach on less than hundred metres... but I guess you're not that type of tourist
I've been in Italy once, but that was for a Skiing holyday, so I can't help you too much with Italy.
Germany is a fine choice as well, especially to travel around the country. The culture in the Noth, South, West, East and Center all are different enough to do it. English isn't common there as well, but the Germans are better at it that the French
In Germany I recommend you should see the cities of Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen, the province of Bavaria and the city of Bayreuth, where the famous Wagnerian Opera house stands.
I think that's about all I can recommend in the largest European countries, the others aren't as interesting as France, Britain, Germany, Spain and Italy.
Did it help?

It sounds fairly good when it comes to live in Europe. Everything seems so close, so you can travel to and fro everywhere in a couple of days and meet many different people and visit many places and culture.Lord Lakely wrote:Did it help?
My country, however, like USA, Canada, China, Russia or Australia, is too big for that sort of thing. I talk for my own in this case, since everything is so expensive when traveling. Here, just to visit my brother, it's almost 4.700 km away, which is like crossing half Europe! Having me living in Florianópolis and he, in Belém.

@AS: Yes...she did. Damn her! I was stubborn for so long but then I finally broke down. I've failed.
