I see... thanks for the reminder TT!

Well, winterfate, the only known strategy to me was:

1. Zergling Rush
2. Mass Hydralisk Assault (Just Hydralisk nothing more!)
3. Siege Tank/Bunker Combo (This one is for defense)
4. Zealot Rush (Haven't really been good on this)

I remember the use of Carriers, but I think that was late game. And I cannot do it on PvP coz they rush me.

The problem with Zealot rushes early is usually lack of Leg Enhancements...meaning if you rush Terrans...the Bunkers (adequately blocked by buildings I would hope :)) will shoot them apart before they get there, and if you rush Zerg...Lurkers might be waiting for you...:devious:

I LOVE Hydralisks Assaults! :D
You need multiple Hatcheries for that though.

And Carrier (or Battlecruisers for that matter) Pushes are usually not a good idea:

Against Zerg: You get Scourged! :S
Against Terran: Goliaths (w/ Charon Booster, never underestimate those Mech wannabes ;))
Against Protoss: Scouts. I love Scouts! :)
Or, you could use Archons...:devious:

I agree with you. And I can't even build that many Zealots as fast as Zerglings.

If he's got building protected bunkers you failed the rush already.

Duh....

it's all about skill here, zealots rush do work

in pvp you need multiple hatcheries. (doesn't matter if you're going for hydralysks, mutalysks or whatever)

It has to be a very balanced game to get to big numbers of these

what you say resembles theory crafting, in a pvp almost anything goes as long as you know how to play it; have you ever watched games between the guys who are the best in the world?
if not, I highly recommended

I never said I wasn't theorycrafting. My Starcraft gaming experience is limited to Player vs Computer games. :)

And yes, I've seen games between pro players...
Those are some insane matches. :D
Fun to watch too. :)

I did phrase myself pretty poorly there. I tend to make multiple Hatcheries (above and beyond the ones created to gather at expansions) to increase my unit production. I was talking about the early game Hydralisk assault (the one the AI sends to your base about 12-15 minutes into the game since he's ridiculously slow...:devious:)

Touché.
But then again, it isn't THAT hard to block off a Bunker. I can do it around 1-2 minutes after the Bunker is filled (with Supply Depots and the Academy).

A Zelot rush is done with 3-5 units, before the enemy has a chance to box himself in. If he's got a bunker and Supply/Academy wall in place you're late.

and a number of videos will show up

if you have the latest brdw version you can download the replays from the official blizzard site and then see them in game, by choosing replays fom the menu

@TT: I can see that happening.

Of course the AI is addicted to 12 Zealot rushes for some reason... ;|

So what's your favorite race?

On that note...

@Ceres: What's YOUR favorite race? :)

But I'm more used with Zerg, I don't know why. ;|

Rushing with an insane amount of units is really easy. ;)

But, I can be pretty deadly with Terrans and Tank Locking. A true lock is a pain in the butt to get though...seeing as how there's so many ways to break it...:S

I love Zerg myself.
Mass Mutalisks are deadly! :D

Tank locking? Can you explain that further.

I haven't tried Mass Mutalisk. I think there are only four units that I use when I play Zerg - zergling, hydralisk, overlords and defilers. Sometimes I tend to have lurkers too.

1) Make lotsa Siege Tanks.
2) Research Siege Mode.
3) Start clogging up chokepoints (narrow areas in the terrain) with lotsa Siege Tanks in Siege Mode.
4) Enjoy the carnage. ;)

Of course, in PvP...I can't guarantee the effectiveness of this tactic...but Player vs Computer...:devious:
