Oh...
He sure was a good actor. If I remember correct he was the first Afro-American person who got Oscar for a leading role.

Yes, for Lillies of the Field. A great movie. (Actually I think he was the first African American Male to win.... but I could be wrong.)

Hattie McDaniel won a best supporting actress award in 1939 for Gone with the Wind. She was an african american WOMAN, and the first African American performer to win an academy award. (satisfied?)

1939.. wow... that's very early considering how Afro-Americans were threated in the states.

Yes, i'm completly satisfied that it went over your head... (read it as non-american Africans).

Yeah I got it, but it wasn't really as funny as you think it was.

Three recent movie viewings:

Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. Ok, so the good news is that it was far better than the first AVP. No skimping on the gore this time. Unfortunately, half the scenes were so dark that you couldn't see much. Also, like the first movie, there was way too much focusing on the humans, especially since most of them end up getting waxed anyway. All in all it was pretty mediocre, but not completely worthless as a popcorn flick. Just don't go in thinking you're going to be scared. (And what the heck is "requiem" supposed to add to the title?) Grade: C.

There Will Be Blood. DDL was fantastic and the story was pretty compelling. Unfortunately the movie fell apart a bit in the last 30 minutes, but overall definitely worth a viewing. The best of the 2008 Best Picture nominees by far (so far). A-

Dan in Real Life. An passable if predictable romantic comedy (I know... romantic comedy, predictable?). If you're a guy it's pretty tolerable as far as "movies you have to watch with your significant other" goes. It's definitely a bit short on the laughs, and thus disappointing in this regard since it stars Steve Carell. But, OK for a chick flick. B-

They named it Requiem, did they? Here, they simply put on a 2 and everything went fine. I went watching A vs P at the movies, so it was that bad, but not scary. You really know what will happen at all the time. If it would be focused on the Predator, I think it would be more unnerving, don't you think? Since you didn't know whether Predator would be injured or not...but surely, it would last until the very end. Some deaths were rather funny too. :)

Yesterday, I watched "In the valley of Elah". Sort of interesting.

I'm going watching "Nação Fast Food" today. I don't know the name in English, but it should be Fast Food Nation, with Bruce Willis and a couple of other people who like gaining money.

I'd like to know if anyone has watched Iron man? It'll begin today being shown at the movie theaters. I think I'll watch today if it might grasp my attention for more than 20 minutes.

I'm curious about it. Looked good in the trailer but that's nothing new :)
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Iron Man has a very good cast. I never expected Robert Downey Jr. to play a super-hero someday.

That's why I'm still interested on watching that, because of the cast. That really doesn't happened when it came to Ghost Rider and Transformers. They say they have nice special effects...but, is that all?

Yup, Panda, that's it. if you watch movies and don't know where it was about, then it sucked and the amazing special effects blew your mind...
