Yeah, but I still feel that they shoulda cut Judi Dench... when they were going back to their roots, why did they stick with the female boss? There's even a quote when she first appeared: "Did you hear that the new M is a woman?" - they noted it specifically.

Because they wanted to go back to their roots without the inherent sexism of said roots?

It's just a plot hole. Another movie made a specific reference to the fact that the new M is a woman and that (implicitly) this is revolutionary. Why then would the M in the prequel be (the same) woman?

In that case I'd like to state for the record that there is no James Bond but Sean Connery. :)

too bad the copyright owners disagree with you... Also, Sean is and always will be the immortal Juan Sánchez Villalobos Ramírez.

Well, i like Pierce Brosnan as James Bond the most. Gues that is because Goldeneye was the first movie i ever saw in the cinema, that and the aging, i'm just 21 you know, so i like the newer hip versions :D. No seriously, i just like the way he looks, he'san awesome Bond...

I saw a movie with John Bon Jovi, (by Carpenter).... I never thought that Jovi had movies... anyhow my surprise was quickly destroyed, by the bad acting, and the worse movie.

He's made some mediocre movie appearances... but I'm actually surprised with him as far as series go. He's appeared in "Sex & the City", "Ally McBeal" and most recently "The West Wing" (as himself being a friend to Santos), and whenever he popped up I sort of half expected him to make a complete hash of it. He really didn't; he was all right. Don't know what that says of the quality of the series, though ;)

I never saw him in a movie before including serials. But he's by far not so good at acting as at singing.

By the way I saw The Mongol a couple of days ago. No surprise, it's a good movie.
Also saw I Am Legend. Though I'm not used to waste more time to a "walking dead" movie than it's absolutely necessary, this was real good.
And saw No Country for old Men. Strange film, with much less ending, than usual.

Brosnan was not a bad bond. In fact, I thought he made a fairly good Bond - he had the looks and the style to pull off the role. The problem with the Brosnan Bond films was not Brosnan, but the woeful (to the point of ridiculous and humorous) scripts that were written for him. They were absolutely terrible. The older Bond films actually have aged well, and even if they are not special-effects laden boom-fests, the screenplays were just so much better.

Couldn't agree more. Especially visible in the later ones.

The problem with Brosnan is that he was already Remington Steele and after being a parody he can't go back to play the original. Same for Roger Moore.

Connery was by far the best depiction of the 'movie' Bond, but I think Craig comes closer to the 'book' Bond.

I've been watching some of Poitier's old movies. He was such a great actor.

Bond: "But of course you are."
Plenty: "Plenty O'Toole."
