Actually I believe they are what they are not only because they have very competent people in their staff, but also because they keep a tight connection with their fans who constantly supply them with new ideas and feedback.

And if you check their threads you see that things get constantly suggested and discussed, thus making a difference in the game. I was suggesting that Ubisoft/Nival don't give a rat's ass about what's going on on their official forum and announce things very rarely.

Not to mention the fact that I doubt any suggestion made there was ever looked into by a developer.

Haha well comparing Blizzard to Nival is a sin imo.

But other good developers, such as Relic, Infinity Ward, Bioware, Monolith etc. actually pay attention to what the community says and make updates regarding their games.

The BC is up on the site... and it finally has a better attack animation for it's laser batteries... in SC1 i always hated how weak it's normal attack looked for such a huge unit.

The Yamato Cannon and the Plasma Torpedoes look good (finally the Battlecruiser can actually hurt Marines), but the lasers still look a bit pissy when you consider the size of the thing.

the Carrier is here, and he's just a recolored Tempest: http://www.starcraft2.com/features/protoss/carrier.xml

Also: The range of the Siege Tank has also been increased since the BlizzCon Demo.

Is that some sort of shield I see activated in that action shot?

And the original carrier looked more bulky and therefore better! :(

I guess, end of 2008 is the earliest date when we can expect it out.

Its good that we'll have one more add to DoW before that :)

End of 2008? I shouldn't think so, seeing just how far along they are. I'm thinking they may aim for an April release, so as to make it a 10 year anniversary from the original game.

But my guess is as good as any.

I think end of 2008 is the latest it will come out... unless something major happens, like fans of other RTS suicide bombing Blizz headquarters...

Has anyone had a look at the fanpack? Most of the stuff isn't new, but it looks like the Reaver could be coming back (I thought it wasn't...).

Actually they said that most of the old units that won't be it the main game will be included in the editor... and maybe seen in the campaign too... especially those that already have models, like the Reaver.

That's a bit of good news. I look forward to having Dragoons Vs. Stalkers (or what the 'blinking' things are called). Are High Templar making a separate appearance or is it just the Dark Templar? (Or is it just that Blizzard haven't shown them yet?)

They haven't had a separate entry, though the Twilight Archon page does mention them. They look cool (I really should look at more than just the official site). I just hope that they haven't removed Psionic Storm or changed it to be near useless.
