PS: Did you notice that spells in spellbook are messed up in book-marks, for instance spells from Light Magic are in Destructive Magic?
The Tabs are wrong. The Special ability tab is put second, but the Spellbook starts with Destructive and has S.Abilities last.

the h5 "demo" is really not like other game demos, where the games are already finished. it's really more like another beta, a lot of things are yet to be polished off
I used to be indecisive, now I am not so sure...

That is true. But is the effect different? Not sure... what would a logical way of reacting to likely defeat be, as opposed to panic? Edging towads the exit, I'd say, hehe.

Logical way would be to retreat, but repeling your enemy while you do so,and not dropping your weapons and running away, allowing your enemy to shoot you in the back,or freezing in fear.

The cost of casting the spell is 0+1/creature summoned.
ex. it costs 10 mana to summon 10 imps or 10 devils
The stupid thing is that the cost doesn't take into account the level of the creature.
Another note about the spell is that anyone can learn it even though its a 3 level spell.
I don't no if the summoning magic skill improves the cost of summoning.

On a related topic:
is the town portal spell learneble by anyone like the summoning creature spell?
also I read that by not having the summoning skill at expert the spell teleports you to a random friendly town and when you reach expert you get teleported to the nearest town. This really nerfs the spell, of course you could save before casting the non expert version and load until you get to the town of you choice(meaning the getting expert summoning is actually bad).

Yup, all the Adventure Spells (own tab in the guild) are learnable by anyone at a certain level. They are 1/10/15/20 for the apropriate spells. Town Portal is at lvl 20 and teleports you to the nearest town with or without the Summoning skill, no matter what the description says.

The SP map was even worse because the Haven player gets very powerfull if you don't rush him. I didn't even bother defeating him, just took the town to save time.
Well, playing at normal, I could take my time and explore the whole surface before going to the final showdown, and the AI's army wasn't too bad by then- it was not a pushover, but it wasn't overpowering either. Though I probably did better than any newbies to the game would have anyway. Point is that you don't have to stress to get there.

No, you didnt have to stress to get there. But how long have you been playing heroes? Imagine how hard it would be for someone who never played it, or eho played just the 4.

Yeah, but i used QuickCombat for most of the battles with the neutrals, and I also couldn't figure out where the heck the exit to the surface was at first. Didn't bother playing it a second time.

After knowing what to do the second time i started the Haven campaign map I was actualy suprized on how easy it seemed.

So hows it handling this time? I never liked it, since I could do better in most cases in HIII and in all cases in HIV.

Haven't really checked. There is a Replay button that lets you fight yourself after if you dislike the outcome. As I recall I belive that I did do better than the computer once, but i'm not sure...

Well, I'm dowloading it... It's gonna take a heck load of time, but I just can't stand listening to you people talking about it any more... :)

Hm... 6 hours... Ah, well.

P.S. Oh, and I'm not even sure it's gonna work on my system. I think I barely meet the minimum...
