Sweeney Todd was great -- or maybe I'm just a huge fan of Tim Burton :D But the Worst Pies in London song is hilarious nonetheless.

I'll give a try to Juno this weekend, just like I'd go watching Iron Man and Rambo 4.

For the local movies, I watched Tropa de Elite (Elite Squad) yesterday, and I found it rather amusing, showing the violence issues related to the local police officers, corruption and the urban sprawl in Rio de Janeiro. Although the movie is quite violent, it shows, me thinks too little of what it really is the daily life of those who live there.

Loved Sweeney Todd myself :) The story and dark mood are a funny contrast with the singing.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Enough of Wolverine already. I felt the first two X-Men movies (didn't see the 3rd yet) were all about him.

Well, he is the second most popular superhero. But I agree; shoulda been more of Xavier :)

X-Men 1 rocked, No. #2 was all right, while 'The last stand' absolutely sucked.

I wouldn't say absolutely but it could have been much better. Part of the blame goes to superman returns I heard, James Marsden for instance could not spend more time on x-men. Maybe that's why he died so fast :D

I like wolverine and Hugh Grant has done a good job but yeah they have shown enough about him. An exclusive wolverine movie sounds like milking.

Hugh Grant? Hugh Grant!? I don't even want to think about that guy in yellow spandex... *shiver* I pray you're talking about Hugh Jackman.

Sorry, no idea where that came from. Meant Jackman of course.

Yesterday, I saw No Country for Old Men.

Great film. It combines hollywoodian themes and motifs with a modernist style common in art films.

La Môme. About the life of Edith Piaf. Just watched it.

I've never felt anything as intense as the last song (Je ne regrette rien) in my entire life.

Just watching The prisoner of Azkaban. I just love that scene in the beginning when Harry "inflates" his aunt.

It's not really a good movie, is it? I mean, enjoyable because of the effects and the 'formers... but not really, you know, good?

Personally, I thought it stank worse than the rear end of a skunk. I fail to understand so many people's fascination with this flick. IGN (I think it was) even has it as movie of the year. :|

Also a "bad" movie, that is - it's a cult classic, but not really Oscar material, if you know what I mean.
