I must admit that I enjoy playing HOMM and M&M to pass the time, relax after a long day and escape and I find that other people that like the same "diversion" tend to be very easy to deal with on these boards. I guess I just fall into a forum crowd a little easier than the IM crowds. WOW takes too much tme and the TBS games have always been favorites of mine.

Thansk to everyone for just being here.

I'm one post away from 1K. Look at my news thread for the newest interview :D.

Also, I've noticed that you spend so much time doing things that can really just be done in a few turns on HOMM. It's an incredible amount of time you have to put in just to maintain... very much like an addiction that needs to be fed. Once the initial immersion into the game is done, you end up spending too much time on raids, quests, and other things. For those of us with 9-to-5s it just isn't worth the time that you have to invest. My brother was logging about 80 hours a week on that game. I'd go into his room... fire up a movie and watch him kill undead apple gatherers over and over and over. What's the point?

8| Wow...

The game itself is supposed to be insanely fun though. My dad's friend had to cancel his account because he was logging in too frequently :).

Perhaps, I should make a World of Warcraft thread over at the Hall of Heretics (the only problem is, I've never played it)...

In any case, I'd better stop before this thread goes OT ;).

Just like Diablo 2
Exactly. In D2 it evens goes as far as having to beat the same game three times to complete it (the three difficulty levels).

At least WoW is one persistent universe...which is way more addicting (I'd better not play it :D).

yeah and I'd really praise blizzard when they announce that D3 sucker instead of hinting at it and star craft 2!!!!

Yeah...

I just hope they don't screw up D3 or Starcraft 2...it would be a shame.

D2 and Starcraft are excellent games that withstand the test of time.

I still play both of them, every once in a while. :D

Yeah...especially with WoW being such a smash hit as it has been up to now.

It would be a shame if they didn't do D3. What would the plot be though?
As far as we know, the three Prime Evils (along with 2 Lesser Evils) are dead.

All I can say is ... Yay for big brothers. If not for him, I know for a fact I would not be here. Or anywhere. So all I can say is Big Brothers are the bestest.

From personal experience it's also fun being a big brother! :D There is an amount of responsibility but knowing that you have to keep an eye and help your little sister is very rewarding! Well not that little, she finishes school that year! :)
