Yes, yes, you're thinking processes are defective, we know. Now go buy H3...
Couldn't you at least pretend you're a nice guy deep down? :disagree:
Maybe I'll wish for it for Christmas, and if I don't get it, I'm not destined to ever play H3 :D

Vote Heroes 5. The other four castles are simply not defensible.
I'm a hypocrite because I suggested that all life is sacred and should not be wasted without good reason.

I must choose the H4 town this time. Since barbarians ain't the most planful group, I have no problems with Random buildings. Ant the builgings themeselves look the most barbaric of most of theme.

To OP: H4 Barbarian town is called Stronghold. Why in Urgash's name have you written Might?

It was "Stonghold" in the beta version, and was changed to "Might" in the final version. It's all the same, anyway.

It is still called Stronghold. Put the cursor above a Stronghold and you'll see word "Stronghold" there.
Also, in editor when you double click on a Stronghold, there is word "Stronghold" again.

I guess because the faction itself is called might. like the humans are called life but I doubt that when you click on their castle it says "life". Not sure though, maybe it does..

I think overall Barbarian faction is the most fun to play in H1-H2-H3. The barbarian is the only hero that is designed to perform well with only ONE attribute (attack). You can easily win with stats like 12/2/1/1 if you know what you're doing (compared to, say, 2/12/1/1 which is too vulnerable vs a magic hero, 1/1/12/2 which is too dependant on getting a good damage spell, and 1/1/2/12 which just plain sucks). The barbarian troops tend to be designed around the hero as well... cheap to get and make good use of the attack boost (especially H2's war trolls and H3's behemoths)

Voted Heroes III Stronghold. It's a classic.

As for other HoMM games, this would be the order of Barbarian castles ranked from the best to the worst.

2. Heroes II
3. Heroes I
4. Heroes V
5. Heroes IV

I'm not commenting any further on these. I just don't feel like again being forced to enter into a bitter fight over semantics with some certain hair-splitting RT members.

The basic Behemoths do need the proposed +1 to speed. I agree with that 100%.

But that's a balance issues... this is about favourite town, not town that best helps you win.

Old threat humpty bumpty?

Anyway, besides nostalgia reasons, I don't see why someone would vote for I, it looks like the buildings were designed by the creators of the Tower of Babel. They don't match at all and the color choice of some buildings is disgusting. I would vote for V, its buildings are less cluttered and I like the grand stairway path to the main building.

It really looks like a peaceful village IMO. An the Mexican style pyramid is totally out of place.

A tie between H1 and H3 that was ultimately decided by the music. H1's Barbarian theme is horrible..
