I think he means those things won't happen in patches. They may still happen in expansion packs (especially the Nagas, which I would love to see). Can any Russian speakers confirm whether this relates to future patches or expansion packs?

i thought theyre a bit silly too.. but on Heroescommunity, last time i was there(in december), they were quite popular 8|

or maybe its just that people accept them as a teaser for the yet-to-be-released nagas.

I never tought we would get nagas. But we will get a swamp town with lizardmen who worship theme, just like the faceless worshiped by the drow.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

Ahem. That's not a very impressive list of potential enhancements. The only one that attracted me is crossed off.

Hopefully there will be other features about which they can't talk yet...

How many feature they couldn't talk about actually made it in the game?! And i mean the ones that aren't "a feature, not a bug". :disagree:

It's too early to judge the expansion, because we know nothing yet. Que sera sera.

As usual you get disapointed by Nival....

No fog of war doesn't matter in the A.Is case but multiplayer would be much more exciting. But on the other hand HoMM is a SP game with MP support and since the upcoming duelmode where you buy everything with points will be used in 95% of MP (since every single game desynchs), FoW doesn't matter much.

No speedreducing spells....I can actually imagine why these won't happen. Since they're a curse their place is in Dark Magic but since Dark Magic is already very powerful it should be given to Summoning Magic.
And speedreducement is very powerful since it can take the affected unit one or two rounds extra time to reach the enemies which make a speedreducing spell more powerful than a initiative curse. But give it to Summoning and all is good. The Wizards with their many shooters and casters would make excellent use out of it.

Not visiting allies towns....This must be lazyness. It can't be that much work to implement.

Crystal Dragons can stay out. Nagas is just another creature so why care about them...? And when I think about Nagas I think about the WBC III variant with a mediumrange magic attack and an area-effect armor spell.

Kingdom overview I don't care about.

A HoF facelift means only a cosmetical change right? Getting it to work like in Heroes II or III would be grand.

Highlvl adv.map dwellings isn't that important....kinda like those bastions which are a little random in what they contain.

Faction balance optimization....just keep the differences and continue make Sylvan cost an Oak of wood :D

.... and still no mention about AI improvements? Better hero building, redesigned economic bonuses, custom difficulty levels.

... also nothing mentioned about the map editor and making it a little more noob friendly. [I'm a programmer but don't want to learn ANOTHER language just to make a map!!]

At this point I think we can forget about any AI enhancement. It's getting late already.

You can forget about AI improvement the moment the game comes out. I don't ever recall any game getting a better AI after it was out, can you?

Well. This
"- AI now ignores summoned creatures in combat if it can eliminate the main forces shortly. "
is one 7 lines of the 1.5 readme that start with the word "AI"
I think, that qualifies for a statement like that, does it?

Yeah, great improvement. To really make it better they'd prob need to rewrite half of it.

So the summoned creatures have a sign around their neck "I am summoned", eh? :)

Well, of course the AI improvement would have to do with nerfing summoning magic yet again.

Since summon elementals(level 4 spell) will no longer serve as even a distraction the weakest level 4 spell in the game just got weaker.
