I don't understand this. YouTube's contents is entirely produced (or stolen) by users. How can/will Google's ownership change that?

Unfortunately that's only true (if it's true) for movies, it would seem. I've been involved with groups who got threatening letters from lucasfilm's lawyers before, and it was pretty innocent non-commercial stuff.

Beyond random cynicism, any particular reason to think google can/will change the way youtube operates? I seriously can't see it happening, users uploading videos is kind of the whole point of the site.

Now if i was able to think of something i'd be getting a job at google right about now. :devil:

They could start registration, make add free payed accounts and overload the site with advertisment etc...

Why would a site that offers free mail suddenly charge for a free video sharing site they bought?The only thing that seems plausable is that they remove the adult content ban and charge just for that one.

I just uploaded a few videos and noticed that max lenght of clips was capped at 10 minutes,while it was 20 before.Was this done before they were bought by google or after?

to be honest, since using youtube I don't think I've viewed a clip much longer then about 10 or 12 minutes

I dont know,but it rejected a couple of my videos,but when I submit them a day after,it acepts them.Pretty weird.
