Looking Back at the Reviews

It rather depends what you were expecting. If your big objective was MP, then of course you're frustrated so far. I wanted a Heroes 3 update with juicy campaigns and decent AI resistance, with a map editor down the line so I could enjoy new scenarios indefinitely. I might try MP someday but that's not my main objective. I thought I didn't care about graphics.

Well, I got all the above, and to my surprise I was delighted by the graphics too. The scenario maps are nice and varied - some full of battles, some intricate little cameos with finely-judged chases. Sometimes, but not too often, I have to reload (on Hard) because the AI won one. I expect to finish the campaigns in a month or so, by which time I expect the map editor will be along. Good deal, and I think there's far too much whinging. No game emerges from release 1.0 without problems that become apparent when thousands of us play it.
