Not too much of a loss considering I will be able to play as the Necron in the new expansion.

Yeah, but the new Necrons are prob balanced.

Can anyone tell me how much space i would need for DoW with the Winter Assault expansion?

Scouts: Do not send them on important suicide missions however, they have yet to become a true Space Marine. Reserve such honors for those that deserve it!

That's what the normal Winter Assault readme says.

Expansion is only 1 CD, so it can't be the full 1.3gb.

My bad, the requirements on the back of the box for the Gold Edition require 4.5 gigs.

Damn skippy, the damn patching took more time then the actual expansion itself.

It take a little under 2,60 GBs of space. I wonder how Dark Crusade installs.

From wiki:
Unlike Winter Assault, Dark Crusade is a standalone expansion that does not require prior installation of Dawn of War and Winter Assault to play, allowing the user to play as all seven factions in single player both in skirmish and campaign modes.
Nice. And it comes out tomorrow.

Edit: Damn, luckily i'm not that into MP:
Multiplayer is limited to Tau and Necron factions if Dark Crusade is installed alone, with the other factions 'enabled' with the installation of Dawn of War and Winter Assault.

That's a pretty unusual move to make the xpack a standalone game. And I don't quite understand that last part. Does that mean that no other races will be enabled w/o both the original game and WA installed or is it just that the original races will work with the orig. installed and the IG with WA installed?

Stand alone expansions aren't that unusual (D2 had RotE).

The last thing meant that you can play all races in SP, but only Tau and Necron in MP, unless you have the other 2 versions (i'm thinking each enables it's own races).

Yeah, that'd make sense. So if both ppl have the original game the 2nd expansion but only one person had WA, they could play all races except IG. That doesn't seem to bad to me, I'd be surprised if they let people with only DC play as the IG.

Actualy from what i gather the guy that has WA could play IG, the other couldn't. Makes alot more sense to allow ppl that only have DC to be able to play against ppl who have all EXP's, but only with one of the 2 new races. Guess will find out soon, as it's the 9th today.

VOD of a replay with Relic balance team as Tau and Necrons against eachother.

If you like Necrons you'd want to watch this ;)
