Age of Empires

Haven't played the third one, because my PC can't run it, but AoE I and II were among my favorite games of all time. I still occasionally play Age of Conquerors once in a while, though not very often. It's quite moddable too, except the sprite mechanics ensure that unit animations take forever to make.

Yeah, clickfest is the main problem with RTS's, though, if only everything took longer to build it would be a slower game, which I think was attempted in EE, where you had to build 2-5 military production buildings if you wanted to produce things in time, and EE generally had a very good structure, but dor some reason I don't like it as much as AoE.
