I thought the movies were triviel. Half the time I was at the edge of my seat and the other half I was bored to death. And the plot never changes. I was impressed by the scenery but found the rest a bit tedious and thus I only saw them once..

Yes it does. For me it does. Altering the very nature of plot characters for cheap Hollywood thrills is not forgiveable.

Sure, there are moments of boredom. Then the next minute something completely breathtaking happens that makes you totally understand why these things sweeped the Oscars....

of course, for you that's fine, but no movie is for everyone - let's face it

and Milla, it's a plot - it's not supposed to change :D

Yes, they raked in cash. Academy Award for profits and special effects.

I will agree with you there E, the academy awards are hardly an award that means true quality, not all the time anyway

Sure, but let's not put the cart before the horse here. Bad movies don't get Oscars either...

And just to clarify, it is not changes necessary to make it into a coherent movie I object to, but changes made to core elements of the plot.

Wow. Just wow. What the heck did you expect Milla? It's a triology. Triology's tend to follow one overall plot.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Yes I know dammit but this one was really really boring to me...
I guess I'm more into the feel-good movies ;) And I just lost hope several times during these movies.

And I have some stupid ex boyfriend feelings related to the second movie so that doesn't help either.

If you didn't like the first one, why did you insist on watching the second and third?

Fine. I promise not to put on those extended edition DVDs when you visit, and I'll put on a chick flick like "Souler Opposite" instead. :)

@OD: I was forced ;)
And I'm sorry, but those movies aren't as perfect and wonderful as everyone insists they are. At least not to me.

@K: Say what now? Don't do that! It doesn't have to be chick-flicks. I just like movies where at least I have hope left that they'll make it through.

I've forced people to watch movies, it can be done.

And ex-feelings can mar anything ;)

Yeah, when you have a date with your girlfriends and you're going to see a movie and they just wanna see that, you have to cave in.

It's no problem sucking it up and torture oneself with a "girly" film for two hours if she puts out afterwards... ;)
