What's with everyone and that movie?! It wasn't that great and Katie Holmes almost ruined it. I'm convinced it's only praised because of how shitty teh last few Bat-movies before it where.

The giant microwave thingy was what ruined it for me. Bah. Nobody but Tim Burton should be allowed to direct Batman movies.

It's a guy in a bat suit with a cape that can support his whole weight in glide trying to scare criminals into giving up crime... i can live with the microwave thing. I'm sure that you can come up with some pseudo-scientific explanation to why it didn't affect people, like in the latest Flash comic, where builds a machine that only freezes surface liquids ().

C'mon, TT, admit it - it was dumb.

Overall her role was minor so I didn't really mind it, but the movie honestly was what the series needed. Both Neeson and Bale did a great job and overall I was very pleased with the movie.

On the other hand, every other movie that was reviving something already popular, like Spiderman, really blew imo, to the point where I didn't really want to see the third part.

What's next, Thundercats?

reviving threw me off... you can't revive something popular. The Batman movie franchise wasn't popular, and the Spider-Man (there's a coma in there people) movie franchise didn't exist. next time use better words.

It's already out in Australia? So it premiered in Japan and now Australia is getting it on dvd before the US? I can see where Sony Pictures is coming from, but I'm certainly not thrilled about it.

Apparently they are trying to milk it for everything it's worth over here. According to Wikipedia, which is always 100% accurate (Hell, it's infallible), this is what is going on here.
Sony has annouced plans to create "one of the largest" marketing campaigns in Hollywood for the October 30, 2007 release of the DVD. Beginning with a partnership with Papa Johns, Sony will print close to 8.5 billion impressions for pizza boxes, television, radio and online ads. Sony will also be working with Pringles Potato Crisp, Jolly Time Pop Corn, and Nutella. Sony's Vice President of marketing, Jennifer Anderson, stated the studio would be spending approximately 15% to 25% of its marketing budget on digital ad campaigns; from this, Papa Johns will be sending text messages to mobile phones with ads. Anderson stated that there will be three sweepstakes held for consumers, where they will be able to win prizes from Sony and its promotional partners.[46]
Nice to know the movie is being held back because of long-standing marketing principles.
