There's your reward for importing a highlevel character :D

Still, the gauths and beholders are cheesy creatures, so just get the equally cheesy shield of balduran from the adventurers mart, which reflects their beams. Equip it one one guy and send him in solo, and watch them kill themselves.

As for the celestial fury, it's in the temple district, look for a house on the map marked Guarded Compund.

Yes, I remembered and found it after a tough battle.

Even better, go to Sahuagin city and get the cheesy cloak that reflects all spells. (OK, so it sometimes fails against beholders. It still manages to do the trick in most cases.). Or go get the ridiculus Staff of Wizardry...

ah the old cheesy item set .... as for Adamantite Golems .... gosh darn, watch out for the poison fog!

and I don't know if it's supposed to be easy or not, but I just destroyed the opponents in the first two fights I had in ToB .... like without breaking a sweat!

The first fight in To is toned down to reflect that you might have to do it with a newly created solo character. If you come right from SoA with a full team it's truely a calewalk.

Yes, while the later fights are harder, because even if you started alone, you can summon some guys from your pocket plane..

especially if it's a full-made party .... but some of the later battles are still hard core!

Hmmm.... can you be in a romance with Viconia if you're a half-elf? Apparently she doesn't like elves...

I'm not sure, but since she's a drow I would think this might cause some problems .... can't confirm or deny though

Has anyone else liked the credits where Tiax "sings" in Baldur's Gate 1? I think it's kind of catchy.

Man, I'm past Spellhold and the romance still hasn't started... I didn't stop it from even beginning when I told her I wasn't listening the first (and only) time she spoke to me, did I?

from a romance guide:

Viconia's Romance Won't Start: *sigh* You're an elf, aren't you? Viconia isn't attracted to elves.

Read that already.

I just tried entering a cheat code to get the thing running. Apparently what's happened is I've played through the game too fast... right now I'm in the Underdark so there won't be any romance there (except for that drow I just shagged in Ust Natha), but we'll see what happens.

Ohhh...never could beat that game. Managed to get to Irenicus once (what happened afterwards was...well...let's just say gruesome).

Has anyone ever made the player-character into an Archer (the ranger kit)?
I did (once you get the Tuigan Bow you shoot like 3-4 times per round if I'm not mistaken). Archers are cool :-D, IMO.

Really? He was tough, but not that tough .... IMO at least, and no haven't tried a ranger as main character, but since mine is a fully made party I do have a ranger/archer kit using a crossbow .... pumps out a lot of very damaging bolts!

I'm a ranger, and yes the Tuigan bow (3 shots/round) is awesome. The Gesen bow beats it though.

The cheat code I tried entering into the CLUAconsole was:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("ViconiaRomance","Global",1)

I have also tried entering the code with certain changes, like taking away the "s and everything before SetGlobal... I just can't tell if it's working or not.
