I only had to move once and not that far from my old home. But it's just wasn't the same.. I lost touch with some friends, it wasn't that easy anymore.
Well you give up on the way and environment you used to live in. But also thing you hoped you would do there.

I took them inside because of the cold weather. When it gets safer, I'll take them out again. :tongue:

Kalah - Keep an eye on E for me, will ya? One of these days - when I get around to 'finishing' his Christmas & Birthday presents that I started on over a year ago - maybe two... I'll need an address. Just think of the SHOCK he'll get when the package finally arrives! :D

---------

Tar, I've been hitting the gym! I'll have to send you some pics. My legs are starting to look pretty good. Nothing like YOURS, baby brother, but getting there! Of course, I never had problems with a fat rear or thighs like some women do, so the 'work' shows up better there. I can do 360 lbs on the 45 degree leg press! :D :D (I don't have my conversion charts marked on this computer. I'm typing from work. Bad enough to live without my DSL!) The upper body is where I've always carried the fat so the new muscles are still hiding under the flab on my arms. But my shoulders look pretty good. :D

(And the rest of y'all can just HUSH up! I know know my Panda Bear is the only one in the group who lifts or would care.)

I know, I know. I'm still writin a reply on the thread you have returned and explained all that story of the last months. :D

That's funny talking about rear or so: these days, I heard a woman saying: "Whoa! I'd like having his butt! How round and tight!" I couldn't help it. I just blushed and moved away, since she was not a cutie and, in fact, somewhat smelly. :lol:

I have been really enjoying this amateur-like bodybuilding lifestyle. Although I'm feeling now a bit fat, that's really a need to stock some energy so I can get ripped later one. And as for you, big sister, that's almost the same. Soon enough, you'll have no more all that fat on the body, because muscles will consume it. It might take a while, but you are going nowhere if you stop. ;)

Here, a link to another photo of mine, from a week or two ago. ^^

I'm working hard. From the last time, when you sent me that shirt, remember? I've gained up to 32 kg...I think it goes for around 65 pounds, is it? Well. :D

Panda you look like you're contemplating conquering that city in the distance. All you need is a sword or a gun and you have the poster art for a movie. :)

FAB! You're an inspiration!

You know, I've tried so many stupid diets and exercise programs and I just get so put out with them because I rarely see much progress... aside from getting smaller, but as soon as I get bored with it, I stop and gain back all the weight plus more. Just like everyone else! Quick fixes just don't work. I finally desided that if I don't want to DIE, I've got to change my lifestyle.

My old buddy Fjor kept pestering me to join a gym and he would help me. He's been working me into it fairly slowly. He started me doing three days a week with a pretty easy 'all over' build up. Starting with one thing each for Legs, Back, Chest, Shoulders, Biceps & Triceps. Then it was Four days a week doing 'splits', Legs, Back & Biceps 2 days a week and Chest, Shoulders and Triceps the other 2. Now, I'm up to a four day rotation. Day 1: Legs. Day 2: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps. Day 3: Back & Biceps. Day 4: Off. This includes weekends. *ARGH!*

I can't believe that I actually ENJOY doing this! While I'm not currently dropping dress sizes, I AM moving more and more weight. That's kind of fun. It's EXTRA fun when I see that I'm moving heavier weights than some of the MEN now. *giggle*

FYI - THIS is 'Fjor'. I think he knows what he's talking about. ;)

@Corribus
Pandzilla. :D Ah, the city is cool. No need to conquer it - maybe the chicks. :D They are far more difficult to conquer. B-)

@Lety
:D Glad to hear that. You know, it's way too much funnier when I see my friends looking up to some strong women at gym saying: "Men, she's stronger than me!" I'm sure some of them are, but they are lazy and deserve that. As I'm not really caring about what others think of me or not, I don't go beyond what I can to show off, which is something that happens sometimes.

Hopefully, you'll see that, after a couple of months, the joyful thing will be changing routines back and forth, and your evolution. Way to go, Lety! It's always a beggining, and never an end! :D

EDIT:
I remember him. You showed me that pic some time ago. I found that when I was rummaging here in my PMs for your phone number, days ago. I had to laugh again. It's just...just...he's just so odd. :D You send that link when you were speaking of an evil customer of yours. :-D

LOL! We call them "ShowBoats" and "Mirror Monkeys". Those guys who make such a big deal out of lifting the really heavy weights then DROPPING them on the floor to make a loud noise so everyone will look. Jerks. Those guys used to scare me. Fjor told me "You paid your memembership the same as those guys. You walk right over there like you own the place. If they are blocking you from doing your work, tell them to MOVE! If they are using a machine you want - ask 'Can I work in?' " Now most of the showboaters are either gone or giving me some respect for just plain showing up every day.

I'm still fat. But I'm sassy! :D

LOL! No, but watching what I eat and doing REGULAR exercise helps a lot to keep diabetes and ostioparoses (spell? - brittle bones) at bay.

Sweety lamb, you gotta remember that I'm FORTY FIVE!! I gotta do something to buy back a few of those years that I burned when I was younger.

That's true, as he said. Even when my fingers cannot hold the plates anymore, it's not necessary dropping them with violence (saying HUUUAHAHHHHH!! for increasingly effect :lol:). You place them, carefully back to the ground. If there's some of those wackos on the mirrors and are blocking my way, I usually, huhuhu :devil: , bump into them by mistake saying: "Sorry, haven't seen you standing still in the only way." As I say it politely, just few of them realize I am pinching (maybe when they are already at home taking a shower ). There's this guy who's always a jerk when I come to use the same machine I need. I ask: "How many for your to finish using it?" He repplies: "Much more".

So, I blink a couple of times, before saying, rather sternly: "Then we'll take turns". As he is much weaker, he ends up not doing that much (because he's just trying to annoy me anyway) because he gets lazy helping me load and unload the plates from the machine. :D

Oh, and about the mirror posing: I believe that's because some magazines say that we must flex and relax the muscle a bit and not to care what people will say if you keep in front of them to see your muscles flexing. Unfortunately, these people forgot they have some sense on their muscles, not being necessary posing like a rotten bamboo stick in front of everyone else. :rolleyes:

*smooches* Titan. I tend to exagerate.

----
Tar, I found a great website that lists all kinds of exercises. I've found it to be EXCELLENT for communicating with Fjor. Sometimes, I just don't understand what he's telling me to do. I'll send you the link when I get home. It's really helpful because not everyone calls movements and machines by the same name. The site has animated gifs to show how to do everything and anitomical charts to show which muscles they target.

I usually visit the www.bodybuilding.com (ENTER SUPER SITE). There, there are some exercises featured with movies as well. It's a good site. Although, here and there, the clothing of those who are performing the exercises is not what it's recommended (like bare feet instead of tenis).

But I'd love having a good link for more information. :D

If you pick on women who are passing out free smooches... I know why you don't have a girlfriend!

-----------

Tar - My favorite site is http://www.exrx.net/Exercise.html, the first link on the top left is "Exercise & Muscle Directory". It's GREAT! That page will give you a list of muscles on the left which link to diagrams with detailed information and the right gives links to suggested exercises for each part of the body. Each exercise, either with machines, free weights other is described in detail and usually has animated pictures to show proper form. I used this to work up my exercise schedule for this month. (Fjor usually does it for me, but I have to learn to do some things for myself!)
