Re: Randomness - vol. IV
It'll never be a huge commercial success. The airspace is already full. And when are people going to realize that a flying car is... a plane! Because if you have a flying car, why the heck would you drive it anywhere and not fly it all the time!? (paraphrasing James May there).

Re: Randomness - vol. IV
I see you guys still haven't made the FORUM button on the front page it's own category, like Main, Games and Community...
Seriously, visibility is a very important thing in an UI, and it will likely mean more new people visiting the forum.

Re: Randomness - vol. IV
I was actually just now testing to see if it's still visible while logged out (since i didn't notice it before going to the forums, just when i went to see the categories so i can put them in my post, but that's probably because of my own familiarity with the front page).
Yeah, that's a good addition.
I still think it's own Category on the left would still be good (if you can make a link as a big text, just have a FORUMS category with a smaller Forums link - actually, didn't it used to be like that once upon a time?).

Re: Randomness - vol. IV
Well, it's also on the left but it's small, in the middle of te main menu. There's certainly not much visible.
Originally, it was grapical button indeed, and the visibility was much better.

Re: Randomness - vol. IV
I just bought a house!
I've been trying for four years to get a proper house so I can move out of this small apartment, and finally I was able to do it. It does put me in bigger debt but I'm confident I can manage that. I'll have to move to a city half an hour away, though... big summer project!

Cool! Houses are the best! You can now build your own Hobbiton.

This is the original, Škoda Popular Monte Carlo, you could seen it racing or in movies almost like ninety years back.
And this is contemporary lift, pretty much still elegant. But only one model exists

Re: Randomness - vol. IV
And now something historical, from Ancient India. Did you know that gunpowder was known in the India before it was 'discovered' in China? This is proved by text in vedas and statues in India temples. Which show, shooting pipes and grenades.
It's also interesting that grenades were found in Syria and around, in similar shape like today but done as pottery.

Re: Randomness - vol. IV
Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) will be visible in following days, cycle once per 50 thousand years.
- the comet will pass closest to Earth on February 1, 2023 (about 42 million km);
- from approximately 12.1.2023, its path in the sky will be circumpolar, i.e. it will not fall below the horizon at all;
- around that 1.2. it will be in the sky in the constellation Giraffe, i.e. between the Big Dipper and Polaris;
- more precisely - from mid-January, it will move through the constellations of Hercules, the Dragon, the Little Bear, the Giraffe, the Chariot and Taurus, where it should be in mid-February;
- the brightness (visibility) of comets is difficult to predict, after all it is a conglomerate of ice, dust and rock and as such behaves somewhat unpredictably - it may be visible to the naked eye, but it will certainly be visible with small telescopes;
- the important thing is that it will be high in the headrest - it is best to go somewhere far from the city, hope for favorable weather and enjoy the beauty.
