I hate it when that happens, even worse thou when you can go, but someone snipes you on a word by some tiny amount of time, gets a paltry 2 points, when you had a 10 point monster planned AND you can only get a 2-pointer off their word

Well the definition from the dictionary implies the word refers to a whole poem or verse:
b. Usually, iambics. a verse or poem consisting of iambs.
7)A word cannot be strongly tied with the previous word(menaing its meaning has to completely differ from all of the previous words menings)if its used whole(so adding a suffix ly,ing,ed,or anyone like thats isnt allowed,turning a verb into a noun,or similar is also not allowed).

iambics is the word.You wanted no backtracking,so no theres no backtracking(I use that only when you illegally want to continue a word that cant be continued legally).
