Now that is just disturbing... ;|

What's the purpose of living a virtual life when you have RL to work with?
Especially considering that it isn't a game per se...

What's the purpose of living a virtual life when you have RL to work with?
Easier difficulty lvl?! Less poor people? Shinier scenery? Free plastic surgery at birth?

Do you think they'll show of one race at a time or throw in a little Terran before showing the rest of the Protoss? I really don't know but I think they'll do just that.

Before they showed anything though, I thought they would show us Terran first, then Zerg, and lastly the hightech Protoss since they are the most mystic faction.

But what do you think about what they've showed so far? I think they're doing a fantastic job with introducing new mechanics and units that take advantage of that like the Protoss Colossuss who can walk over ramps as he please.

Those Stalkers seem to be very valuable with their antiinfantry weapon and blink ability. Fantastic harassers. Just hope that blink requires energy or has a cooldown....
Those Warp Rays seem to be devastating against capital targets and high hp structures with their rays that increase damage over time. Hit'n'run seems to be the correct tactic against them.

I'm thinking energy for Blink, as in the video there doesn't seem to be a cooldown.

And the Protoss is the most unique race they have (somewhat of a cross between Tau and Eldar), and now with DoW on the market i guess they're using it first to accentuate the differences.

Some more Protoss units: http://files.filefront.com/StarCraftII_ ... einfo.html

Man, the Protoss are really going Dark Templar all the way. I'm gonna miss the yellow.

I know what you mean, the yellow was sort of a trademark of the Protoss. I also wish some units were more detailed, because some seem so dull.

Maybe we will see the yellow in an expansion or something. Looks like this is turned around. First there were the yellows in the original as trademarks then adding the blacks in brood war. Vise versa now it seems.

I noticed that now you can move your pace cannons. Nice move by Blizzard there. Increases strategic strenght in the game, pretty useful.

I think that's some sort of upgrade. And there's still yellow for the Protoss, but alot of new units are Dark Templar ones, and those aren't yellow, even if the Corsair was in #1.

And i'm hoping that the unit models do get improved till the gaem goes gold. But it's not that important.

I don't really like how it fires... both the Scout and the Corsair had better firing animation.

o_O a flying all-around + high templar? it will have to have SOME weakness...

as of the video TT last posted, the soul hunters seem kinda silly... PROTOSS ATTACK EN MASSE? that video is not promising... at all... i hope blizzard will do some serious scrapping or something. also, less machines and more 2-feet 2-arm protoss units would be cool.

Seeing how their homeworld got overrun by the Zerg and then The Queen of Blades made them kill eachother it's not really surprising they're using more machines instead of troops.

And here is a Protoss unit list:

And some more info:
-----Starcraft 2 Q&A Batch 2-----

The answers given below reflect StarCraft IIs game mechanics at this early stage of development. These mechanics are subject to change with further testing and balancing.

1) Will players be able to select multiple buildings simultaneously?

We are directing much attention to polishing and improving the user interface. On that note, players will definitely be able to select and build from multiple buildings at the same time. You cannot drag-select buildings, but you can shift-click on them and add them to a control-group for ease of unit production.

2) Will workers auto-gather resources if the rally point is set to a mineral node or a geyser?

Of course.

3) Will we be able to select more than 12 units at the same time?

Currently, unit selection is unlimited, but this may change with further development and testing.

4) On a given map, will there be one Mothership per map or one Mothership unit per Protoss player allowed?

We are still testing out many possible circumstances in order to make skirmishes more fun and challenging. At this time, each Protoss player will be able to have only one Mothership at a given time, but as mentioned, everything is still subject to change.

Interesting. IF we will be able to handle more than 12 units...wouldnt that remove something from the tactical dilemmas we had back in SC 1 to which units we should have in each 12 group?

And the Banelings gotta be some serious threat, wonder if there gonna be more than one upg for each unit?
