I thought we get safe letters only when someone is hanged for giving a wrong letter, not also in case of a wrong guess of the full word (which got Pol hanged). If I'm wrong - sorry. Let me know how the rule applied so far, to know if I should consider Kalah's letter guess above (so to know if I should have hanged him i/o you).

Safe letters are always for the nose... they're macabre that way.

Better to ask Milla & Kalah. Yet, this is not exactly specified and they're the rule makers.

The hanging rule does apply to guesses of the whole word as well as letters.
