I've dated quite the rogue's gallery. I could have been married, but I didn't feel like settling down at my age.

Hmm..

Does not compute... :S

Oh, ok...I'll assume you meant you're 24. ;)

It seems like forever... :S

nice work OD .... dating, as I've stated before, generally requires one with the confidence to ask the datee out, then we have a date, if all goes well you may get to make out after 1, 2, 3, .... 10 dates .... but if you don't ask, you don't get!

True...but if you ask too soon, you might scare her off :D. (been there, done that)

I know. For some abstract reason, the "no" isn't what scares me...it's the whole getting friendly enough to ask thing...

It takes about 3 years.

You either want to date or you don't. Simple as that. If you do, you'll put forth the effort.

Just remember this winter. Most women respond well to confidence. Not pushiness, not neediness, but confidence. Just something to keep in mind. First like yourself, then move on to relationships. Believe me when I say I've seen girls with guys that made the swamp thing look good. Since I am guessing you are not that bad off, shouldn't be too much. Oh and this has probably been said before, but, realise some of the greatest beauty is on the inside. Physical beauty is nice and all, but it fades.

Total subject change....

From my other forum:
My mom told me what happened the other day. A very old lady at her church died. At the graveside service they released three doves, then they released a fouth dove thats supposed to represent the spirit. Except this time when the dove got about 40 feet up a hawk hit it and then flew to a nearby tree and started eating it....

All I could think of was "Cool !!"

my mom is currently a bit angry with me..

[shrug]
The comments that followed were priceless... but I'll be nice and not copy them over here.

Personally, I thought, "I'd rather be the hawk than a dove any day."
