Maple gives me 0.40967, assuming I typed everything in correctly.

You use Maple for a problem suitable for people who're just getting into integrating? Shame on you

Man, I'm too lazy to do crap like that on a piece of paper. :D

Quite simple really. Here's another one, but without the formula this time  :

integral (undefined) of: e to the power arctangent of x, plus x times natural logarithm of x squared plus one, plus one, everything over x squared plus one ;dy.

0.25 ln(x^2 + 1)^2 + exp(arctan(x)) + arctan(x)

(Anything else?)

I don't think so... Where'd you get that 0.25 from? And why is the logarithm squared? And where is the "over" part?

This is fun, seeing what could be read after writing a formula in words... :-D

Jeez, I'm not up to integrals yet...my teacher's waiting 'till after our midterm to start that. Now I know where to come for homework help, hee hee. Nah, we're just reviewing derivatives and stuff like that.

Hey, don't blame me - blame the computer that solved it. :-D

They're quite easy when you have a program that will solve them for you. ;)

@ Corribus and others
I'll be doing them (mostly) with pencil and paper, I betcha. Stinkin' AP test limits calc use, but you are allowed to use any and all (even homemade) programs you'd like on the calculator-using parts. I'll have to bribe this kid I know into making me an Ultimate Program of Doom...

Well, if you're "forced" to tap into it every once and awhile, it does a remarkable job of staying.

And Corribus actually got it right (missed a "one" before)...
