Oh, look how disapointed that poor croatian girl is.

And it's over. With 3 reds too.

Aussies win. (2 - 2)...

Swedish TV showed Brazil-Japan. Brazil finally decided to really play ball, even if Japan did keep up fairly well in the first half.

Saw both too (what I could catch after I came home from work...). Norwegian TV has complete coverage. Anyway, Brazil are looking increasingly impressive - their squad depth is something they will cherish when the suspensions etc. kick in later.

Well, they decided to show the other game in digital TV, at the same time (it probably was shown later, but then I needed to sleep).

Stefan: if he got both in the same game, something was wrong. If he had gotten in an earlier game, he would be penalized by not being able to play the next game.

GC .... yep aware of that, he got a yellow in the first half, then one at the 84th minute or so (should have been red carded but wasn't) then to top it off he got a third a the 93rd minute mark and a red card as well!!! Three yellows in a match, a record I am sure!

just one of the horrible refereeing decisions by the "top" premier league ref

meh. Horrid beginning of the match, with swedish defense making huge errors on both their goals. Then Lucic, one of our defenders, got a second yellow rather easily while the judge grinned at him, in a situation after Ljungberg had been held but didn't get the free kick he should have had. Had not Lucic gotten that second card and Larsson had managed to score on the penatly he got, we might have won- germany didn't play all that good. If Argentina can start playing as they did earlier (Mexico was the better team for large parts of their game), they should beat the Germans easily.

Argentina and (since the game Colonization :) ) Netherlands are the teams I always support in WCups.. Too bad the Dutch can't hold a candle to their former glory; but Argentina, always the slight underdogs in the presence of Brazil, can have their moment, if they can go past Germany that is.. That match might very well decide the champion; too bad I'll be busting my ass in college lab during the match :(...

I kinda have the feeling that Germany will beat Argentina before they could reach the Finals. :devious:

I don't feel Brazil in the final this year, I actually believe that unless they score quite early, Ghana might have a shot in the eighth. If they manage to beat Brazil, Spain will win the 1/4 and go through all the way to face the winner of Argentina/Germany in the final.

The best odds is for Brazil vs. Germany/Argentina in the final though.
