Cyclists bare all to promote pedal power
Hundreds of naked cyclists have toured the streets of London and other cities around the world to protest oil dependency and the car culture.

Traffic came to a standstill and onlookers gaped or took photographs as the bare cyclists streamed past London's landmarks, blowing whistles and waving flags saying "Rights for Bikes".

Cyclists in Paris, Madrid and Vancouver, among other cities, joined in what was the fourth annual world naked bike ride.

One London participant had painted "Less Gas More Ass" across his bare back to extol the benefits of pedal power. More modest cyclists wore shorts, bikinis or strips of tape.

"We shouldn't be so dependent on oil," Bogdan Potrowski said, a 36-year-old Polish electrician, wearing just a baseball cap.

"We also want to show everyone how defenceless we are on the roads."

Tom Whelehan says the protest has numerous objectives: to urge more people to ride bikes, to highlight the vulnerability of cyclists and to celebrate the human body, in all its shapes and sizes.

"We're trying to find the simplest, safest and most natural way to make our point," Mr Whelehan, a teacher, said.

He says cycling naked is reasonably comfortable, but added that some of London's cobbled streets had proved a challenge.

Others were just there for fun or to bemoan the difficulties of being a bike-owner in big cities.

Organisers of the London ride had hoped for more than 1,000 on Saturday, helped by sunny weather.

French television said about 400 cyclists attended the ride in Paris.

Police arrived quickly on the scene putting an end to the rally and telling them to put their clothes on.

Usually when someone holds a "World Naked Something", the people who are naked are the sort of people you wish weren't.

How come that these advertisement started at CH? You see, that's the second time a member posts a topic like that I have seen...that's a real spam. I mean: that's bizarre.

Now usually I ignore things about celebrities. I could really care less who is sleeping with who, or which celebrity has jumped on the spewing racial slurs bandwagon, or which of them is going to (insert one: Jail, rehab, or going to get off scott free).

This morning I read something though and just had to laugh. Paris Hilton's talent agency is droping her. I am a bit confused here. I always thought you had to have talent to be working for a talent agency. Besides being rich...what exactly is her talent? Second, she served 3 days, got home arrest, then got sent back. Why exactly did she get to have house arrest in the first place? Medical problems? Yeah, hey why don't we let everybody out that has a medical issue?

Well we all know America has many justice systems. There is the rich persons/celebrity justice system, and the middle class/poor person justice system and probably one or two others. If you are rich or famous you can get public service or even off scott free for things that everybody else goes to jail for. Now it seems even if by some mirical your wealth or fame doesn't get you totally off, you can spend your time in your mansion. Awww poor things. Must be harsh having to wear an ankle bracelet while your maid/butler is serving you caviar. pffft.

Ok, I know I am ranting...peace out.

She is really trying people's patience by trying to draw attention to herself. Not sure how deliberate is each of her actions but she acts like a dumb kid.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.
