What is there to tell? I just get used to using programs in a way, and this means all customizations I made in time for those applications will have to be made now.darknessfood wrote:Tell us!
Let's take Windows, I did a lot of stuff with it: customize the start menu, the looks (I want the less graphics one, to load faster), disabled some useless services I don't need, and a lot of other tricks I learned from a PC Magazine.
Total Commander needs to be customized as well, and it also needs to be linked with IrfanView and WinRar so that I'll easily access Rar files or view pictures. Then, there comes WinAmp, with the plugins I have (to write .mp3 and .ogg files, etc), which need a little customization as well.
Of course, I also need Firefox with the plugins I use, and ZoneAlarm (Firewall). Thank God the Bookmarks could be saved though!
Moving forward, I have to install & configure Photoshop, and some other apps I have (a lot of them actually). And all of this is without considering the games at all, some of which annoy me a lot, especially Neverwinter Nights - the campaigns aren't available to be opened even in the Toolset (and sometimes I want) until you finish the game, so I'll have to cheat myself to win them and 'unlock' them. And this takes some time and is annoying as well.
btw, I also spent like 2 hours (!) to adjust the brightness/contrast and such for the Video Card drivers last time. Yes, I kinda realized it took me too long, but I just have a 'perfectionist' nature, I can't help myself
